Forsythia
Got on with some chores whilst waiting for Paul the " Rat Man". He arrived around 3pm. He looked in the loft and found no new evidence of rats up there. Hooray!. I told him I hadn't seen any signs at all of them being in the house.. I read that rats don't like the smell of peppermint or vinegar so I put some saucers around the house with cotton wool balls soaked in vinegar and peppermint oil. I also bought some rat repellent spray and some plug in ultrasonic pest repellers. . Anything is worth a try. Since the last time Paul came Ive been checking everywhere for signs of rat poo etc and found nothing. So Paul said all seems OK here and he doesn't need to come back. Not sure what the situation is next door at Jackie's but Paul said he would probably only need to come back once more to her house so maybe the rat problem is almost solved. Hope so.
After Paul had gone I had to go to the village to collect a parcel and do some food shooing. Weather wasn't very pleasant. It was very windy with squally showers. I was glad to get home. My parcel contained a lightweight jacket. Don't think I will be wearing it anytime soon. My thick padded ones will be needed for a bit longer.
Quickly got my blip shot just before I came indoors. The forsythia bush in my front garden has a few flowers on at last. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting.
