Last bit!

This trunk is the last bit of the tree we are cutting down, you can see the spit at the bottom. I got my packet of new blades out and found they were much longer than the one that comes with the reciprocating saw. Very handy as I've dealt with some thicker bits today.
The trunk came down after about ten minutes of sawing.
All of the branches and smaller bits and pieces have fitted either into our garden waste bin or over the wall, to deteriorate over time.
It's taken us three days, including clearing a lot of Ealiagnus. Our garden now also benefits with having a lot more sunlight.
The other, storm damaged, section of the tree is still hanging over towards the roadway. I'm waiting for the storms, starting in October, to see if it gets dislodged and falls into the road. See if the county council still denies responsibility then!
P.S. having trouble with phone/laptop connection. Had to do this blip on the phone, which is a pain. Hope I can get it sorted out or I might be missing some blip days soon!
