Grade 3 Children

Woke up at 8.30 and hurried to class with masses of our clothes and shoes. When we arrived in class I saw Annamarie and went to take her to our class as she wants to watch us teach. We taught the children different types of clothes and asked them what they knew. We wrote all of them on the board. We then showed a piece of our clothing and asked the children what it was. Whoever got it right got to wear it. They all got a little too excited. But by the end of it they all looked very funny with our huge trainers, converse, dresses, trousers, skirts, sunglasses and tops on! Annamarie asked us if she could get them all to sing Happy Birthday so she could send it to her friend. We said we had a busy schedule to fit in and she couldn't! Joking, we did! Monica showed us around the school. They have a cool tapestry place where they have made bags, water bottle holders and longyis (the typical skirt to wear out here) Lunch at 12.30. Getting rather bored of our rice diet. The cook gave us beans and some weird green leaves that tasted of fish. Wasn't so nice. Taught grade 3 the same as grade 4. There was no teacher when we arrived and none turned up whilst we were teaching. Morag and I got some really good pictures. After teaching we went to our restaurant Shwe Swn Min Cafe just outside of the school whilst buying a water bottle holder and picking up our longyis. They fit and look a lot better now. At the 'cafe' we got Nanrote with sweet milk. They only have sweet milk out here so I now love coffee as it is very sweet. We also had the classic Asian pancake but they gave us chip peas with it. Headed back and did A LOT of washing. We went into one of the shower rooms and they have big round bowls to do your washing in. Put some One Direction on whilst doing it to make everyone happy around us! Made a huge washing line around our room and got clothes everywhere hanging up. Chilled and then went to the office for a spot of Internet before heading back to the restaurant to get fried rice with chip peas and egg. We went to the little girls room with some of them the same age as us. Freezing shower before heading to bed!
