Daliesque
Spotted this on a wall on our drive home from Cheltenham where we have been to the optician. Not a great shot as it was quickly taken through the car window, and zoomed and cropped. I should go back with the camera one day as it has potential.
The optician visit was itself a bit surreal. Mrsfb had her pressures and field test done, but contrary to what both the hospital and the optician had told us they had no access to any previous results. So we are not much further forward really, we just have some isolated results, in particular the pressures were measured on different test equipment to that used in the hospital. At least we didn't have to pay after all.
It was very busy and we were there for over 90 minutes. I think mrsfb felt a bit spaced out after all the tests.
While I was waiting I somehow found myself in the middle of a three way conversation about babies, mainly. There was a cute 8 month old boy who gave me a lovely smile. Two other ladies started a discussion with the mother about the differences between bringing up babies these days compared with when they did it. The talk then moved on to the obvious benefits of private schools, especially in London where allegedly knife crime is endemic, with regular stabbings, with zombie knives. At this point I thought I ought to throw something in so I said that my grandsons lived in Wapping and went to a super school. That didn't cut much ice though, the conversation went back to push chair mittens (John Lewis ones are good apparently) and then mrsfb came back anyway from her tests.
In other news, after posting my blip yesterday I fixed the lock on the en suite door, tried and failed to fix our Ring door sensor, had a long telephone conversation with Ring who are sending a new one, and fixed the leaking tap in the kitchen by replacing the bearing ring and seals.

Sadly mrsfb's friend only made it through another 4 months.
