No sunrise but....
This was the view from the dome this morning, very calm after the storm last night. There wasn't much wind, but I did have a couple of cm of wet snow on the deck when I got up.
The collage shows the beach at White Point, the back of the White Point lodge, a surfer at Summerville Beach and the Port Medway lighthouse.
White Point has an excellent set of instructions and tips in their glomes. They call their glamping domes 'glomes'. When I checked out this morning I told the employee that one thing missing is how to use the remote for the heat pump. Last night before I went to bed I wanted to turn the fan down on the heat pump and somehow I turned on a ceiling fan above the bed. It ended up being noisy and it sent cool air down on me. Fortunately there was a nice warm duvet on the bed. I did turn on the light around 2 am and tried to turn the fan off, but no luck. Around 6 am I turned the propane stove on again and laid there watching the flames for an hour. When I got up around 7, I pressed more of the buttons on the heat pump remote and something turned that fan off, finally.
When I first turned the propane stove on last night, it did not light. I called down to the office and they sent someone right over to check it, and he found a loose connection, he was able to fix it right away. I was glad to have it working.
After I checked out this morning I had a short walk around the resort. Then headed over to Summerville Beach, another sandy beach about a 10 minute drive from White Point. There were a couple of guys in the water with surf boards there. Then back thru Liverpool onto the highway and a short detour into Port Medway. There is a gift shot there that I like to visit. You could spend hours looking at everything. She has jigsaw puzzles and house plants too, and that's what attracts me. I bought 2 new jigsaw puzzles and a new begonia.
It was one of those days weatherwise. Wait 5 minutes or drive 5 miles down the highway, and it would change. When I stopped in Port Medway at the lighthouse it was trying to rain. About 20 minutes later when I came out of the gift shop, it was sunny. At various points along the way home, it might be raining, or it might be sunny.
The cats were happy to see me home, they both wanted attention and had to have some lap time. Stephanie came over last night to give them some treats, and again this morning to feed them. But it is not the same as having Mom here.
