River Rea

This is a very small part of the River Rea which flows through Birmingham. This particular land was used in years gone by as the site for the Longbridge car factory. There is now a shopping centre, housing, a retirement village and a college amongst other things on the site.

Rob became an Austin apprentice when he was sixteen and he remembers the river disappearing under certain bits of the works, as it does on its journey through the City
