Fiddling Whilst The Cactus Is Repaired And MOT’d.

Leaving the Citroën Cactus to have the engine Timing Belt replacedand the annual MOT test awarded at Arnold Clark in Perth, Pat and I took the bus to Birnam and Dunkeld for the day.

Bus travel in Scotland for Senior Citizens of our advancing years is free.

The weather was sunny and it was very pleasant to admire the Perthshire Countryside from the bus. We spent a few hours touring around Birnam. The Arts Centre is well worth visiting.

We then walked to Dunkeld crossing the bridge across the River Tay. Pat had prepared a picnic lunch and we viewed the bridge from our bench at the river bank. See extra.

We then walked around Dunkeld and came across the Community Orchard. See the other two extras.

The main photo shows Pat playing with Neil Gow’s fiddle. Apparently the musical instrument is a replacement as the sculpture was vandalised and the original fiddle removed.

The sculpture is by David Annand of Kilmany.

We did enjoy our walk around Birnam and Dunkeld. There is much to see and explore in the two ‘villages’.

After afternoon coffee we took the bus back to Perth by a different route through the Perthshire countryside.

We rendezvoused with a very shiny and clean car completely repaired and with a fresh MOT certificate in the glove box.
