Spring time in Lille

It was a lovely sunny day today with warmth creeping in  I had a breakfast meeting with an old FM colleague which was useful.   We then had our first screening of the day, an Icelandic drama called The Danish Woman.  After that we had the most delicious lunch in La Brasserie du Cerisier which included a Cafe Gourmand with an ice cream sandwich   Pictured in extra!. I love the concept of a Cafe Gourmand although they have got more elaborate than when I first had one. 

Sadly our minder Eva got the time of the next screening wrong so we had to be sent links to watch it on our own. Which was an odd experience. It was Reunion, a BBC show about a deaf man who gets out of prison for an inexplicable murder. 

We then had a bit of time so I wandered around a bit 

Another VIP dinner in another Michelin starred restaurant.   I know!  It was called La Laiterie and it was very delicious. I sat next to a young Swedish producer called Lisa who was fun.   

We all went to the Federation party and danced and chatted. It was near our hotel so I walked home in misty drizzle. Bed by 2am. I really like having done 3000 steps before I get up but god knows I need to with all the eating.
