Meal Time

I went back to the river today and spent a few hours with the macro lens and the 400 mm lens on. I got some really good close ups but this pic was my favourite for the day. I spent about half an hour stalking this hoopie. I spotted it next to a hedge and it was hiding.. I slowly closed in and waited till it started foraging and was lucky enough to catch it throwing food into it's mouth. The action is not unlike when we would throw a peanut into the air and try to catch it in our mouths.

I spotted a great place to get a few dragonfly pics, so I'll go back tomorrow.

Back to qork tomorrow.. I DON'T WANNA GO!!!!
