Flowering currant

Another photo from John's garden. There are several huge bushes of it, all at varying stages of flowering.  The scent hits you from midway down the garden! 

I went to see John at the weekend. He's quite relaxed and seems perfectly happy in the care home. It's so good to see him so content and better still, he is putting on weight.  When I've been with him for a while he seems to remember me. I get glimpses of the old John from time to time.  It's a relief not to have to worry about him, but it's a hard habit to break.
