Leaving Vienna
This morning I e-mailed the physio and got booked in for tomorrow. My knee is locking and is very painful so hopefully the tendon behind the knee can be helped.
After a leisurely breakfast we walked in sunshine to the station. We had to be nippy getting onto the train for the airport. At one station a woman with a small boy, a pushchair and carrying a toddler got on and the doors closed before her partner could get on. The little lad was distraught at papa being left but she did a good job of reassuring him.
By the time we’d got through security and passport control (phew - they let me out though the official complained that my passport was too full. I have at least 6 blank pages.) we just had time for a coffee before the gate came up.
I’m (surprisingly?) impressed with RyanAir. We left and landed on time and the bags were waiting for us by the time we’d walked to reclaim.
Jenny and I said goodbye but we’ll see each other soon as she is having a little ceremony with her husband’s ashes. Mr C met me at the long stay and we headed home. It feels like I’ve been away ages as we’ve done so much.
I’m sorry the only photo I took today is of leaving our station in Vienna as I think today is my 11th anniversary of joining blipfoto. Once again, thanks for all the friendship, support, encouragement, kindness, hearts, stars, comments and silent visits to my journal over the years, and thanks for the delight and pleasure I've had from visiting your journals, meeting some of you and being part of this community. And thanks, of course, to the great team who rescued blipfoto from possible oblivion and keeps it going for all of us.
