Garden Party

The annual garden party where I admit (ashamedly, I'll have you know) to looking forward so much to Kirstys wonderful selection of cheesecakes and bannoffee pie.
I also, of course, do look forward to catching up with all family and friends, especially all the wonderful children and babies.

It's become an established thing now that Catriona brings along her face paints and adorns the childrens faces with beautiful imagery.

I would like it said here that I think I was probably the first ever British face painter when, in about 1967, on a New years day (the early hours of) I walked from one side of Edinburgh to the other (to get home) and drew a flower on everyones face with my eye-liner, lipstick (which has always been and always will be, ice pink) and eye shadow (green then and now). No-one dared to say 'no' to me and I don't know what wives, girlfriends or etc thought of their partners arriving home with this washable tattoo. It could have been one of you out there who walked the Edinburgh streets that very same New Years day and was accosted by a fair and pretty maid armed with eye-liner, who knows!!
