Babe In The Woods

Good day for weeding and planting. I put in some Sugar Peas and cleaned up under the pear trees, all the while listening to the cries of this young hawk. I think it's trying to figure out life outside the nest, calling for mom, hoping for food, wondering where to stake a claim. True confession: this photo is edited to death; I lost track of all the adjustments I tried in order to see the bird clearly. I was shooting into the light, and, alas, trying in vain to remember how to use the controls on my "real" camera, as opposed to the phone I usually grab.  I am also faced with a new version of Lightroom, which does and doesn't work like the (very) old one on my previous machine. So, lots of problems, but I'm stopping now because it's too much.  I put the original in Extras.
