Hill view

Picked up pal, his partner and borrowed dog for some hills today.

We headed west.

First hill a local hot-spot for dog walkers, steep ascent on good path then onto open hillside and a cylindrical trig point and stunning views(beinn lora).

A wee drive north and a wee short hill, track close to summit then picked our way through clear fell mess. Another cylindrical trig but 4m below summit so summit also gained. Returned same route to avoid clear felled slopes.(airds hill). On way down an eagle appeared above us.

North again to a forestry track, felling trees on glen so good walking surface, they we turned south up a brutally steep tracks through young trees to a gate. Open hillside steep also so picked our way up to summit ridge and headed to another cylindrical trig. This was my pals 600th marilyn so pickled herring and rye bread to celebrate and some black bun.  This number means he is in the hall of fame in marilyn bagging. (Beinn sgluich (photo)).

Returned similar routevto gate and down.

Last hill a wee bit north and a good track to cylindrical trig, white tailed eagle passed over.(ardsheal hill)

All hills today had stunning views on Loch linnhe and the light to the south stunning.

Popped in to my pals old friend to catch up on all the news. Lovely man , cracking house and setting with good stories.

Clachaig inn for hydration and feed dog. Many cups of tea.

Home.

Dogs walked with eco mum.
