Turin hill
I left a sleeping eco mum and walked up turin hill an untagged marilyn close by.
Lots of pictish stones on route along the road, on hill track roe deer dashed for cover.
Old hill forts, a cairn to a ww2 soldier, a fine wall, 2 stiles over wall, electric fence and a trig at summit. Hills around still under the cloud duvet.
We headed to the coast, Lunan bay was stunning with a big shore.
Montrose museum visited, looking at local agates on display. We were searching beaches today for some.
St cyrus beach next, s flatter beach so shore smaller but had superb pebbles and trees scattered about.
Chips in inverbervie then to catterline to see village that Joan eardley had lived and painted.
Stunning bowl in the cliffs by harbour that was all pebbles and the cashing waves made a thunderous noise.
Back to cottage and a swim in the pool.
