Tiny trees?

These are sprouting up all along the path through the woods so it is likely that they are trees in the making but the mystery is what kind of trees?
In the morning we went to the Community Cafe and Library, always a fun social gathering. Then the garden beckoned in the afternoon and I made more progress with the weed removal.
