The Woodland Garden (Tuesday 25th March 2025)
The Woodland Garden is waking up fast now Spring has sprung. For Tiny Tuesday I have photographed the new foliage of one of my acers just starting to appear, whilst in Extras is some muscari. Bluebells are also starting to show. jensphotos' optional theme for this week is Mystery Object, so once again my Blip does not qualify in that category.
Thanks to jensphotos.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Little Junior Parker - Sweet Home Chicago (recorded November 1958, Houston TX)
Inspired by Cerys Matthews' recent interest in Junior Parker, I recently purchased his The Singles Collection 1952-1962 2CD, and from it I have picked this old tune adapted by Roosevelt Sykes and covered in 1937 by Robert Johnson. It was first recorded by Scrapper Blackwell as Kokomo Blues and revived by Kokomo Arnold as Old Original Kokomo Blues.
Junior Parker wrote and recorded Mystery Train in 1953 for Sun Records, later revived by Elvis Presley, and by 1969 was recording re-arranged Beatles covers, but he died in 1971 aged just 39. As well as being a singer he also played harmonica on eleven of the 50 tracks on this CD collection.
