I had a lovely walk with my friend Phil at the Arboretum this morning. We met when I moved to Oregon in 2005 and started working at the college that he was teaching at. Since we lived in the same neighborhood, we started carpooling. When I left in 2011, we started walking at least monthly, and today we realized it has been 14 years! That's a lot of walks, and a lot of talking! He's a dear friend and I'm so grateful that we still maintain our friendship!

Spring has arrived with bells on, at least for a couple of days! It's a gorgeous 66F this afternoon, and tomorrow promises to be 77F! Wednesday will be warm and pleasant in the morning and then the rain sets in for the foreseeable future. These are the days that get us through the rainy season!

Tomorrow my (new) friend Dick and I are headed to the Columbia River Gorge to do some hiking and look at waterfalls and generally enjoy the gorgeous weather! Should be some good blips tomorrow ;-)

Oh, and the ciabatta I made last night was a complete and utter failure! New recipe coming up!
