Loch Tay aurora birthday candles
My poor aching feet and knees, plus general restlessness in my legs, meant that I couldn’t get to sleep last night. My wriggling also disturbed poor Mr hazelh. Luckily for us, however, he peeked out of the bedroom window at 3:00am to look at the stars and spotted the aurora overhead. We both pulled on some clothes, grabbed our phones, and rushed outside to snap some pictures. What an unexpected treat!
In the end I managed about 4 hours of sleep before breakfast. Soon after this, we were on the road home again with two planned stop-offs in Perth. For a while I have wanted to visit the newly-refurbished museum and see the Stone of destiny in its new home. Today was the day. Our other visit was to Dobbies for some garden supplies.
Home once more, we unpacked, put on the washing, made a celery and mushroom stroganoff for our dinner, and then watched University Challenge with another thrilling tie-break end.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (7,200 steps).
