Around Monsaraz
We drove to Monsaraz and walked all through the castle. Coffee, a little cake and a lovely chat with four Canadians. We then left the castle down a long track, walked around a convent, a stone circle (that are actually a rectangle), and spotted wildlife and wild flowers. More good company and chat. And lovely sunshine.
My Blip is of a the support cable for a telegraph pole, which was in the way when this garden wall was built!
The first extra is of a Cistus ladanifer also known as gum rockrose. So pretty to see.
The second extra is of a stork sitting on its nest on top of a convent. We don't see these at home.
