Stormy Sunset
Today the temperature had dropped to 102 (39) so we had some relief from yesterday's horrendous 108 (42) ... you felt like you were melting the second you walked out the door. (As I walked out to fill up the sheep's water I was chuckling to myself that 102 could feel positively acceptable when it had been 6 degrees higher the previous day). Later this afternoon some storm clouds rolled across the area, thunder rumbled and there were some far off flashes of lightening but only a weak drizzle fell on us...anything is better than nothing though and I sat out under the porch and watched the rain for a while, enjoying the smell of it and the coolness it brought.
I seem to be rather unmotivated this week...I have lots to clean around the house but somehow don't seem to be making any progress on any of it...I think the intense heat zaps all your energy at this time of year. We should all just pack up and go North as soon as August arrives :0)
A rather dull blip of the sun set just visible through the storm clouds - I didn't get much of anything on my camera today so this is the best of a rather dull selection.
