MINNESOTA ON MY MIND

I am far from Minnesota, but seeing this
license plate, in the grocery story parking lot, brings back fond memories of when I lived there. It was brutally cold & snowy,
in the Winter, but the Summers were short & beautiful.

When we lived in Arizona, we used to
realize the seasons had changed when
the “snow birds” arrived with their
Minnesota & Canada licensee plates.
They came for the warm, sunny Winters.
They often left in May when the real heat
arrived.

Where I live now, we have a few out of state visitors, but not many. Maybe it’s because our of brutally hot Summers & windy Winters. The wildfires might be a factor, too.

Today, the most beautiful Spring day, might
make a few wish they could live here.
