Beechenhurst Forest

Our initial outing took us to the Heritage Centre near Cinderford in the Forest of Dean. Charlotte chose it because it advertised a Gruffalo trail. It was pretty pathetic. Having been to the Whinlatter one in Cumbria last year.
Fortunately Beechenhurst centre run by the English Forestry Commission was a short drive away. This was more like it with Go Ape, biking and walking trails. Plus a cafe etc, what you’d expect.
We enjoyed a good walk before having a light lunch.
Charlotte did a lovely roast for dinner.
