Normanton Church

A run out to Rutland water today.

A bit of history....
The village of Middle Hambleton was flooded to creat the reservoir.
The buildings were demolished, the hedges and trees removed so as not to pollute the water.
The church was saved by raising the floor, and now used as a wedding venue.

After managing to extract K from the fishing shop, we found a nearby pub for a spot of lunch.

In other news, Zac scored from a penalty in today's game Wales v Denmark, unfortunately the score was 4 - 2 to Denmark, but chuffed for him all the same.
Shame we couldn't have stayed out for the whole tournament.
