'n the weather is a-changin'


Clouds rolling in over the hills. It's been a really warm and sultry day today - not great for walking and paradise for midges. Lochinver harbour has filled up with the most fishing boats and trawlers we have seen all week. The British ones are all small and farty and the foreign vessels are big and modern (French and Norwegian). It seems that the fish they land comes in ready-processed on ship and packed up in iced boxes. It is off-loaded into refrigerated trucks and driven straight off to the continent. No fresh fish to be found for sale anywhere in town although there is a fish van once a week.
