Waiting for Rain

The weather forecast for the weekend promised frequent showers and possible thunderstorms, but apart from a few drops yesterday morning, it stayed dry. I’ll have to water the garden again, which really should not be necessary in March.

As it was warm and partly sunny this morning, B and I went for a longer walk than usual. It’s beautiful out in the orchards, with wild cherry plum trees and also some early fruit trees in blossom.
The flowering currant in the main blip grows in a nearby garden. In the extra collage are pictures from our walk, including a big (probably female) slow-worm that basked in the sunshine in the middle of the road. I gently nudged her out of the way of walkers and cars, but only after taking a quick photo.
