Steamy Greenhouse
I had unexpectantly been lent a camera to try out, an Olympus TG-7 Tough. It does focus stacking inside the camera (including the processing, so no need to merge in Photoshop later). I'm not a fan of focus stacking the traditional way, so that idea appealed to me. It's also pocket-sized and is waterproof and a good all-round general lightweight compact camera. It has its limitations, there is no view-finder and the screen on the back is more difficult to see in bright sunlight, but I think it might be useful for macro shots. I no longer have a selection of lenses for my Nikon Z6, just a 28 -400mm one which is suitable for most photos but I miss having a macro lens so this might work for me instead. I really don't want to carry round a selection of different lenses again.
I met H at Felbrigg so we could both see how it performed. I have added an extra of the inside of a crocus that I took using it (just focus stacking 5 shots). I was quite pleased with it, but a steady hand is required.
I shot my main photo with my Nikon, taken through the steamed up window of one of the greenhouses, the steam adds an air of mystery I think.
