An early bee...

.... catches the early pollen .   This is, I think, a white tailed bumble bee .   Apparently the females are out and about at this time of year in any sunshine, seeking out both pollen and a new nest site.  

This one was deep into the daffodils in our conservatory this afternoon, with the tracery of her wings particularly clear.
