Acer unfurling

The days of sunshine that we had over the last couple of weeks is bringing all  the plants back to life.  Most of the garden has a long way to go.

Peter was back to help me on Friday afternoon and I asked him if he could strip back the Ivy.  Two thriving areas the first is coming from a very vigorous neighbours plant which had spread into my garden and which was in danger of collapsing my fence.  Peter has managed to cut back a substantial amount of foliage.  It’s a good plant for wildlife but a problem for gardeners. I need to find someone to do the fence and also a fence at the back and maybe a new section to hide my neighbours bins. He also stripped the Ivy from the drystone wall at the back.  I think I might need to resort to some weed killer here.  It feels good to see the wall again and the Ivy is so well embedded that pulling out the stems will not be the end of it.
