Bike ride number 1 in 2025

The weather was good, temperature and wind-wise. So I used the opportunity and made my first bike ride of the year. A lot of pedestrians and other bike riders were also enjoying the weather, but with the help of some by-roads I could still enjoy nature too.
Twice I had to go through a gate like in my entry today. I mentioned already last August and October last year that south Hesse has a "challenge" with ASF (African swine fever). It looked like the measures to fight and (significantly) reduce the ASF were successful, but unfortunately they weren't. Dead infected boars are now found in a larger area again. Fences that were removed have now been reinstalled. It is a bit like being in a prison. At least I can usually step over the electric fence or move it aside. Like the gate.
By the way: the stork is an extra, I hadn't noticed it until I selected this photo :)
