Accordion Book

This was the project for Week 11 of the online art journal course I'm taking called Wanderlust 2025. This book was made from 2 large 18" x 24" pieces of mixed media paper. We folded and teared to make this 9" x 6" accordion (or concertina) book. My covers are the front and back of a 1926 book: Venice - A sketchbook. Serendipity... as I had the covers in my studio and the pages are designed by the instructor for contour drawings! 

A couple more photos in the extras. Hope you are having a good weekend. We visited mom today and she was calm and accepting once again, we are so happy. After a team meeting on Tuesday afternoon we will find out if mom can move to Assisted Living.
