Journey
I have been working with my friend (and former Times colleague) Will today.
A travel writer, he has has just graduated as a Blue Badge Guide which allows him to lead informed tours around London.
It's the first time he's been unleashed on the public, so I was there to take pictures.
I was slightly nervous beforehand as the job involved walking non stop for two hours, as well as finding the right shots and angles. My health and stamina has been getting better since the cancer, but I still need to walk with a stick.
I'm pleased to say that I held out pretty well. More importantly, Will's walk was terrific and absolutely fascinating. I thought I knew a lot about London... but... every day's a school day.
It took me an hour and a half to get to the starting location so I treated myself to a cab, part of the way back. My feet thanked me :-)
