Monopod

This arrived today. It's a monopod, i.e one legged tripod but it can also be used as a walking stick. 
I made Son buy it; as part of getting his visa for Canada he needed evidence from Australia, where he lived for a while, about criminal and driving records. 
He doesn't hold a driving licence and was never in any sort of trouble with the police or other authorities. So quite tricky getting a certificate to satisfy the Canadian authorities. So, he had to make several long phone calls to Australia.

When I got the bill it was about the cost of a deluxe monopod so I suggested he got it for me.'

I am looking forward to going out and about with it and even being offered seats on the tube more frequently.
