Bromeliad

I don't think I've ever seen a bromeliad flower quite like this one that lives happily outside the back door in full sun (when it shines!)
A busy day sorting seating/tables etc in the bigger house next door in readiness for Dave's 80th and Sasha's 50th birthday celebration tomorrow.  A sheep roast and plenty of salads followed by our granadilla fridge cake - spent the day making three today.  Not fun cooking in the heat even if there is not a lot of sun but my oh my it is muggy/humid.  
One of their long term friends is here for the night so now dinner is being prepared.  It is all go......
