Shopping Sisyphus

As we were both working yesterday, I took the day off for P's birthday today.  We had a fab day, a lie in, then to the Newsroom in town so P could spend his birthday funds on a new pair of climbing shoes.  I had a first climb there and did my first heel hook and got used the the very slippy holds.  It's a decent wall, but Hang On is much cleaner and a nicer gym, though the Newsroom did play Rush whilst we were there.

From the wall we headed into town where I failed to buy anything with my John Lewis voucher yet again, P got himself a bottle of whisky after being offered samples from the Lagg distillery on Arran. They had a peaty one in a sherry cask so that was always going to be hard for him to pass up.

We then had food then went to the arcade bar for a bit where I got to relibe my chilhood by playing Bubble Bobble and I even got Pete dancing on the dance machines!  Good day :)
