Human Rights Day
A public holiday on a Friday is always great, and we packed a lot into this one.
First, after sorting out our dog food containers and a grocery delivery, I managed to take tumble on the back steps with my right knee connecting with the tiled top step. That was not part of the plan at all.
Taking the pooches out for a wander helped ease it out though but I have a cracking bruise to remind me of my clumsiness.
Next we headed to my office to sort out stuff that is going on sale next week. Four of us got that done in just a couple of hours. On our way there we found a car on its roof, how the driver managed that is a mystery but thankfully he got out unscathed. See extra.
Home again and Arnie realized he had lost his house keys. No time to go back to the office as Sue arrived for our planned wild beast spotting.
Thaba Eco Hotel is a short 35 minute drive from home and we spent a lovely couple of hours on a guided tour of their small game park. We learned a lot, and saw some beautiful beasts along the way. Black Wildebeest, Zebra, Blesbok, Springbok, Impala, to name a few.
The four day old Zebra was a little wary of the truck but we were within touching distance of the others which was very special.
Lunch at Mikes Kitchen was great, then a stop off at my office when the lost keys were found.
Home for a seat in the garden and a chilled glass of Chardonnay went down well as I chatted to Mum.
It’s been a grand day.
