Day of two halves
Had to go to London for a meeting today so fairly early train down then a very enjoyable meeting talking about adverts and creating concepts. I don't do too much creative stuff but enjoy it when I do. Took the opportunity whilst I was in London to go to the showroom of an online furniture company I've been coveting a few things from. A bed, 2 beside tables and an ottoman later (due to be delivered end September - I can't wait) I got the train back.
Dad was off to the cricket tonight so mum had arranged to come round for dinner. She turned up with a huge trug of plants that one of her friends had donated. Turns out Mum's been asking them all for anything they don't want for my garden - was really touched. So she put me to work digging one of the beds - it wasn't the easiest as I don't have too many garden tools so had to use a trowel and a small fork! We got the plants in, trimmed back some other bushes and I have to say the garden is looking quite good. We then treated ourselves to dinner out and caught up on life, love and the universe.
Am missing the fella - haven't seen him too much this week.
Today's shoes (day 2): nude ballet pumps (have 2 pairs of these so if I wear again in a few weeks is not cheating!!)
