At the end of it's days

I know this plant as 'stinking iris'.  In Autumn it produces beautiful orange berries and l was quite surprised to find a few still hanging on in early spring.  The name stinking iris comes from the fact if you crush tthe ge leaves they give off an unpleasant odour of meat apparently.
