Calvin & Hobbes

Another day exploring the area. Going for a run down miles of beach blanketed in early morning fog. In the afternoon trying to take care of many odds and ends in the house between the endless hilarious distractions of Jenn's zoo of animals. There are the dogs; Sasha and Oscar, Hobbes the mischevious cat, Mocha, the stoically handsome and chubby guinea pig, and Shelly the turtle. Needless to say, it was pretty wonderful to be living in a petting zoo.

I ended up spending most of the day playing with the animals before I realized it had sped away. Hobbes the proverbial mischief making tomcat shadowing my every move. Crisscrossing my footsteps and tripping me up in nuzzling affection, digging through my pack and rolling in my clothes, and attaching my leg. Some beat downs and good natured wrestling bouts inevitably followed and now he likes me even more...like an annoying kid brother. A duo, Calvin and Hobbes indeed but a joy to have animals around for company again, even this troublemaker...

I cannot deny though, Hobbes is one handsome looking fellow. He strikes a regal pose...
