Some chionodoxa growing beneath the silver birch. Extra While walking home this morning I heard some military aeroplanes flying over but there was too much cloud to see them. It is unusual to see a group this far west from the area around North Berwick although commercial aircraft are very common here on their way to Edinburgh. A few minutes later a clearing in the clouds revealed four contrails and I managed to get a photo but the phone battery was almost dead so I could not look up an app to identify them but think they were probably Typhoons on exercises from Lossiemouth.
