Snake's head fritillary

This morning we took my Mum for a checkup at the audiologist. Her new hearing aids are working well for her, so her next scheduled visit is in six months' time. Back at her care home we walked around the garden, admiring the spring flowers.  Here is a snake's head fritillary flower bud. I think the bud of this lily resembles a reptilian head,  more than the opened flower does. 
This afternoon, we planted a new Clematis  montana in our front garden. We bought the container grown plant some weeks ago and  have  been waiting for the  ground to warm up.
