Pick-up

Public art by a local artist at Banbury station, where I collected son, d-i-l and grandson. Sentimental and kitch but I prefer it to a blank wall. I have a particular soft spot for the CCTV camera. Reading about it last night, I came to see the enormous impact railways had on the landscape. Not just changed views and topography, but indirect impact like supplying cheap building materials that replaced regional, vernacular building designs with ubiquitous, cheap alternatives, like bricks
