Tree of Life

It is forecast to rain this evening so first thing today I planted my onion sets and shallots at the allotment. I also harvested the last two red cabbages of the season. The red cabbages have been brilliant, keeping me supplied with coleslaw all winter.

Later I met with the volunteer coordinator and head gardener of a local sustainability centre. Amongst the many things happening there, they run an organic veg box scheme and I’m planning to volunteer with them once a week working in the garden. I met them for a chat so we could check we are a good fit for each other.

The rain is now gentling pattering against the window and I’m about to get a cup of tea and listen to a podcast. Wishing you a relaxing evening and a good weekend.
