One of the lucky ones!

Saw this pheasant on the way back from dog walking.
I’m a supporter of “League Against Cruel Sports” and in their latest publication, there is an article about shooting.
Here are some facts “In 2024, around 300,000 paying customers shot 8,560,000 pheasants, 2,550,000 partridges, 220,000 grouse as well as 681,000 deer. These figures were provided by a report published by the shooting industry. The article also says that it is estimated that four out of ten birds are wounded and very few are taken home for food”
Many of the birds are bred and kept in small cages. Many are imported from overseas.
The shooting industry justifies it by saying it makes a lot of money and shooting can be good for people’s mental health!!!
People who shoot for pleasure totally disgust me.
