Out West

We headed out west today via Yeoval, where this picture of a typical Aussie country pub was taken, to Narromine.
The aim was to watch our mare run at Trangie races tomorrow but no sooner than we arrived (after a 4 hour trip) we discovered the meeting had just been abandoned due to rain. Not there has been much of it but it’s a dirt track and can’t cope with much more than a passing cloud.
Fortunately we had arranged to have dinner with my sister, MsPeahen, near Dubbo tonight so it hasn’t been a wasted trip.

I can’t resist a good sign. The extra at a toilet stop on the way was designed for the geographically challenged like me to assist with access.
