Spring equinox
The rhythm of nature brings more light either literally or spiritually through the upcoming events of Eastertide. A very slight covering of frost hosted the most gorgeous morning, dippy and I wandered through field and woodland, bird song everywhere, Jays and Green woodpecker being the most vociferous, a buzzard high above conducting the symphony.
The two hour pre breakfast hike delivered a healthy appetite and we both tucked in eagerly.
After a good tidy and several phone calls we headed out to Appledore to see some friends and for a stroll in the warm sunshine in shorts and just a shirt above.
Sausage and chips sitting in the bus shelter with the sunshine toasting us was blissful.
Plenty of conversation before heading back to Instow (extra)for a camomile tea and catchup with S in the Yacht club.
Dippy enjoyed socialising on the sands stealing other dogs toys but responding well (mostly) to the whistle I found floating in the sea the other day.
Fruit, Brie, sourdough bread, with some tasty olives hit the spot whilst Dippy lay prone and fast asleep on the rug below.
A lengthy phone call to a friend in need before hitting the sack.
Zzzzz
