FIRST DAY OF SPRING 2025

Today, the first day of Spring, has been a lovely preview of what is to come.
It is also the first day of Persian New Year, (Nowruz) when it is traditionally
 celebrated for14 days.  My Persian friend said it customary to bring flowers, as a gift.

So, I am offering you a small snapshot of my favorite variety of this
plant.  What you see does not include the flowers, but if you check out my EXTRA, you might be able to identify this sun loving "God's barbed wire."

There were huge masses of colorful bracts, as I walked by this house, near the park.  It seems to be thriving on neglect.
