Humble bumble

What an absolutely glorious day we have had. Delighted to have spent a lot of time putting in many days worth 10 minutes tidying in the garden!!  I even got too hot and ended up in shirtsleeves.... woohoo! I enjoyed sitting a while too and took in the beauty of this hellebore.. it was covered in bees and bumble bees.. in fact you can see one with its bright white bottom just between the lowest leaf and the lowest opening flower. Each flower it visited it stayed inside for almost a minute.. there must be a lot of tasty stuff to gather under there. I heard the first chiffchaff of the season and the birdsong was really wonderful. Everyone is happy in the sunshine. I sowed some seeds.. and am excited for the artichoke seeds I planted.. I wonder how they will get on in my garden. Also finished pruning a few more roses.
I had a visit from a villager in charge of the village charity asking my opinion on a matter.. interesting. Will give it more thought but there is a large rift between the trustees.. tricky in a small village and don't really want to be involved but feel more informed and voiced my opinion.
