One camellia
Only one beautiful camellia has flowered but the rest are coming.
At 9am the conservatory man came to check it over and found things we’d not noticed. The men will return next Friday to complete the job then hopefully we can use the room. We might need to sort out new blinds as the others are over 20 years old and look tatty now but that can wait.
Then we had to go to Morpeth to take the Dyson to the repair shop then to the bank (no doubt it will be one of those closing) then to MKM to choose tile trim and grouting. It’s all so complicated. Nothing seemed really right so we have taken the least worst option.
Meanwhile work goes on in the bathroom. He’s made the frame for the shower area to fit with the boxed-in pipes coming from the upstairs shower and we sorted out the height for the shelf and the shower equipment.
It was another lovely sunny day but by the time I’d cooked and packed for leaving tomorrow straight after the physio (he thinks I need the achilles thing sorted) it was too cool to read my book outside. (I’m de-stressing with Jane Austen). The conservatory doors had been open and when I went to close them I couldn’t. One door had dropped slightly. Mr C phoned the company and someone is supposed to be coming tomorrow to fix it. Meanwhile Mr C unscrewed the bit of metal below the door so that he could shut it. I’m glad it’s got a guarantee.
