Spring

Today, March 20th, marks the astronomical (vernal) equinox and the official start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, bringing longer days and warmer temperatures. (16°C today!)

What better day to go hunting for a suitable nest site?
Our nesting box is somewhat dilapidated (look at the roof) and this blue tit seems to be far more interested in the larger crevice in the cherry tree. This gap has provided a nesting space in the past so perhaps it will do so this year too.
